Bonsai Tree

The bonsai tree was originally from Asia over centuries ago. People carve the trees and make it look how they want it to look. In some cultures the people take every branch of the tree is shaped or tooken away until the image the person chose is achieved. They are grown in pots, usually.

Sketches of trees grown in pots were found in Egyptian tombs and were dated over 4,000 years old. The bonsai were sources of chemicals used by healers in the caravans and places visited along the way in Asia. There are different species of bonsai trees throughout Asia also.

If you put some rice bran husks around the trunk of a bonsai tree that will help control the bugs and the tree will be insect and pesticide free. Bonsai trees are nice because they are small and they would make nice gifts to give your family or friends!

Bonsai Tree
